Post-consumer waste (PCW) means that once products have reached the end of their intended lifecycle, they are sorted, crushed and then recycled to generate new materials. Recycled materials can derive from either textile products (e.g., polyester) or PET items.
The use of recycled polyester reduces reliance on petrol as a source of raw materials, uses waste and reduces CO2 emissions.
Furthermore, its production requires less energy compared to the production of virgin polyester.
